Roses and Gemma

FRIDAY IT'S FRIDAY!!!!! Happy Earth Day. I don't think it's appropriate to say Happy Good Friday but it is Good Friday as well. I am not sure if there are any other obscure meanings behind today. Most importantly it is FRIDAY! I also get to leave work soon which makes me very happy. I just noticed however that my guitar string bracelet is not on my wrist. It was there last night but I don't remember when I saw it last today. :/ I sent my son to find it in the house but he wouldn't find a neon sign blaring right in front of him. Here's to hoping I can find it. I just offered him a reward if he can find it lol that might make him look better.

I took some pictures of my pretty anniversary roses this morning. Unfortunately I didn't take a wide enough shot with my nails to see my wrist so I am not sure if the bracelet was on then. Anyway these are my pretty roses.

He got them from the flower guy that sells them on the street. He is so funny. When he first moved here he was amazed by these people that sell EVERYTHING on the street corners here.

I don't really enjoy red roses so he got me the pretty orange/yellow ones.

And white which suddenly reminded me of painting the roses red from Alice in Wonderland. Now that song will be stuck in my head all day lol.

Today's nails are Zoya Gemma. Gorgeous green shimmer with a blue flash.

It looks great next to my roses too. I should walk around with my hand in the roses all day. That would be an interesting accessory.

I love how visible the blue flash is in this polish. I really wanted to avoid it because her name is very similar to the name of a former boss. That woman made my life hell and belittled me and was totally in appropriate with commentary. I guess I can love this polish because the name is spelled and probably pronounced differently. I shudder at the memory of that woman.

My new routine for doing my nails is usually sitting in bed while the bf plays the Xbox right before bed. I have to make a mental note that doing my nails this way is not going to work when my son is playing the Xbox as well. That child bounces around so much when he plays that it makes it difficult to keep the polish where it belongs.

Gemma is gorgeous and was pretty easy with application. I think she is a little on the thin side but it wasn't overly difficult to deal with.

Of course I am still wearing my ring. I took it off to make the chocolate and forgot to put it back on yesterday but it's back. I showed it to my dad for the first time yesterday, my dad is hilarious and he loves color. He took one look at it and said "NOW THIS IS ME!" Goodness how that man cracks me up.

You can expect a HUGE post later with tons of pictures from nail mail! I got a huge package from my wonderful friend in Holland with tons of polish. My eyes bugged out of my head when I opened it. I have tons of pictures so it is going to take me a bit to go through and crop them all and such but I will post it. For now it is off to look for my bracelet. Hopefully it is in the car or something. I love that bracelet.

That's all for now :)
