It's Not Me, It's Blue...or is it?

Hey Everyone!!! So I finally went to the doctor yesterday. I hate the doctor, not my doctor in particular, just in general. I think I got 3 hours of sleep the night before due to anxiety. It would appear the never ending congestion and crappy feeling is due to an upper respiratory infection SO I should be feeling better soon. YAY! I had the worst headache after all the stress and lack of sleep that I crashed on the couch when I got home. I am hoping the congestion decides to leave completely in the coming days but I am already feeling better so that is good. I should be good to go from now on!

Today I have a polish I recently picked up, I think it was on clearance at Target. I love clearance and rarely can resist things with that red sticker on them.

Nicole by OPI It's not Me, It's Blue. It is a gorgeous shimmery blue and it captivated my attention in the bottle.

Unfortunately on the nail I wasn't as thrilled with it. It was quite sheer and I had to use 3 coats and still had some visible nail line.

I was playing with Play Doh with my son the day I took these pictures. I of course had to pose with my rose.

This polish seemed more blue gray and not really blue on me. It is a nice shade but the fact that is wasn't really blue, was very sheer and didn't look like it did in the bottle very much bothered me.

I had some major tip wear from work so please excuse that.

This polish borders on a gray/silver with a touch of blue in my book. I love the shimmer though.

I am thinking maybe with some dark blue underwear I might like this polish more. I had my heart set on it being blue.

The visible nail line is killing me in these pictures. I know the flash exaggerated it but it drives me nuts lol.

The jury is still out on this polish for me. I am going to give it another go before I decide if I really like it or not. I do love the shimmer and the color is not horrible but I had my heart set on what I saw in the bottle. I didn't get that color when I put it on the nail so I was slightly disappointed.

Some more of my Play Doh creations.

This was my alligator. He looked a lot cooler in real life.

Dice. I love dice.

One more of my rose.

That's all for now :)

A-England Ascalon

Hey Everyone!!! I hope you all had a better weekend than I did. I am sick, AGAIN, and pretty much was glued to the couch and bed all weekend. I guess I got some rest in but I am not feeling a ton better. I actually made a dr. appt for tomorrow so now I am totally spazing about that. I am a big baby and hate the doctor. HATE. I am trying not to think about it too much so I don't stay stressed out until tomorrow but it isn't really working lol.

Today I have my last A-England for you. This one I had seen swatches of and finally broke down and ordered it from Llarowe because I could NOT wait any longer to get it.

A-England Ascalon. This one is a gorgeous Grey with a pinkish/purpleish duochrome. It is also really holographic which makes it really, really pretty.

I used two coats on this mani. you can see a little of the purpley flash on my middle and ring finger. It was kinda hard to capture. You can definitely see the holo though.

The duo shows up really well in person.

I love love love this polish and I am glad that I gave in and ordered this one.

I think it is more holo than St. George and Dragon but it could just be because I actually got to see this one in the sun quite a bit.

I left work early the day I wore this so there was actually good sunlight out when I was in the car.

A-England really hits it out of the park with their formula and polish colors.

I still need to get the rest of them. I am loving how easy the application on these is.

And OMG the holo is so nice.

That wraps up my collection of A-Englands. I definitely want to get more and would definitely recommend these polishes. They are great!

That's all for now :)

Blogiversary Party with Galahad!

Hey Everyone! Yesterday was my ONE YEAR BLOGIVERSARY!!! I was sooooo excited to do a post for you all yesterday and then my son struck. He had a report due today that was not finished and about as good as something Bruce wrote. We spent the ENTIRE night working on this report. It was a five paragraph report. Obviously he doesn't get his writing from me because I am incredibly long winded. As you all know :) SO I am going to do a little Blogiversary celebration tonight.

CAKE FOR ALL!!! lol I wish I had some cake. Though I can actually have cake on my diet, mmm, cake. I actually had a tiny piece of fudge tonight so we will pretend it was to celebrate the blogiversary. I want to thank YOU ALL for reading my little blog and coming back day after day to hear my ramblings and see my sometimes decent pictures. I know you all really come for Bruce Kittlee Master Ninja Warrior though lol.

I went back to my first post and grabbed a picture from way back then. lol Cause it was soooo long ago lol.

Well, I would like to think the photos have at least gotten a little better and that perhaps my application or cleanup has improved a bit. lol

I think my nails have gotten a little better. My cuticles though, geesh, they need some love. I have loved blogging for this past year and I am really excited for the upcoming year and all the ideas that I have in store. Thank you all for checking out my little place on the web :)

NOW I have another A-England polish for you. This one is from The Mythicals collection and is a gorgeous creme.

A-England Galahad is a really pretty blue. I could NOT get the color right in the photos though. It is vibrant and very pretty but dustier than shown.

I think the index finger and my pinkie finger are very close to the actual color in the picture above.

It is a gorgeous creme and I LOVE it. I want to know how close it is to OPI Fly because it looks similar from what I remember.

I used two coats. The formula was a little thick and I think it needs thinner. It wasn't as easy to work with as the others I have used but it wasn't awful either. Definitely needs thinner.

This picture is closest to being accurate. My poor tub of Lush Lemony Flutter has been through a lot over the past year. The guy that smiled at me from the bottom of the jar is pretty much gone now.

This polish was so shiny and cremey and really really nice. I wanted to eat it. It reminded me of a shiny yummy jelly bean or something. I know it isn't a jelly but it really made me think of candy. It could also be the lack of sugar.

I have one more A-England to show you tomorrow. I am a day behind now that we had the awful night of project hell lol. I must run off and file down my thumb nail now. I broke it trying to climb into the recycle bin and retrieve my Advil Congestion pills my mother threw in there. She thought the box was empty and left on the counter for recycling. Um, perhaps looking inside would have been a nice option. The recycle bin is quite tall and I am quite not so even tilted toward me I could not reach in far enough to get it. I had to call for someone with longer arms. In the end they were retrieved but somehow part of my thumbnail was left behind.

That's all for now :)

A-England Dragon

Hey Everyone! This is late so I am going to make it quick. My darling son has a report due that he is absolutely not willing to put any effort into. It is always quite a hassle to get him to do his reports and do them well. He should have had it done but when does mom's advice ever mean anything.

Today I have another gorgeous A-England polish for you. This one is also from The Legend collection.

A-England Dragon is a gorgeous mossy green. It is dustier in real life than the pictures below. The bottle shot shows the color best.

When the flash hits it the green comes out to play. I couldn't get any pictures today in the day light so all I have for you is flash pictures.

I was working repackaging our products at work so my nails took a bit of a beating.

I love this color. It looks very dragon like.

I wish I had some pictures showing the dustier color this polish shows.

I love the holo in this polish. It comes out in the light and with the flash and is a lot less subtle in normal light.

A little bit of Bruce tail in the picture.

I think this picture shows the dusty mossy color most. I really need to make a light box.

This was two coats. Two very nice coats.

I am really loving the formula on these A-Englands and the depth that they show.

That's all for now :)

The Legend Saint George

Hey Everyone!! I have been talking for a while now about trying out Weight Watchers and finally took the plunge and signed up for the online program. The bf is doing it too so I have a buddy. I spent most of the day online catching up on blog posts I missed and checking out the WW online site. So far I have spent most of the day looking over the site and trying to figure out what to eat. I need to go grocery shopping. I would also love something sweet and yummy right now.

Today have another gorgeous A-England polish for you. This one is from the new The Legend collection.

A-England Saint George.

Saint George is a very deep teal, green polish polish with tons of holo. It is so rich and deep and wow.

The holo likes to play in the sun but was very hard to capture. We also didn't have a whole lot of bright sun when I wore this polish. It was sunny but one of those sun is hiding kind of days.

I used one coat for this mani. ONE COAT!!! You can see some spots where my application wasn't the best and I could have used two coats. You couldn't see that in person though.

Someone with better application skills would have nailed this in one coat.

I love how deep these polishes are. They remind me of those deep toned jewels.

With holo in them.

I took tons of pictures because I could.

I was trying to get some sunlight pictures on the way home. Traffic was backed up and at a dead stop, no worries.

I really want to wear this mani again. And again. And again.

I bet a deep ruby or garnet color with this holo would look nice. A deep sapphire blue and amethyst color would also look great.

Hmmm and a topaz goldish brown. Yes.

This was a great first polish to try from The Legend collection. It made me want all of the ones that I had not ordered yet.

And I leave you with Bruce Kittlee Master Ninja Warrior. He is such a cutie. He scratched my eye lid today and drew blood. It was a great time. I should have known not to try and get a kiss when he was being crazy cat.

That's all for now :)
