Oh so Posh and Sparkly

Hey Everyone! I am sooo tired. I woke up extra early today to go to jury duty. I was so excited to finally get called for jury duty until I realized a few things. Firstly I had to either ride the train or drive downtown which displeased me. THEN I realized I had to pay for parking in either scenario. I am cheap. I don't appreciate having to pay for parking to perform my civic duty lol. THEN I realized that I had to be there at 8am which is about the time I usually wake up. By the time I put all this together I was no longer excited about jury duty. 

I barely slept because I was quite anxious about having to ride the train since they no longer take money. I ran out the door without coffee because I was running late. I then put too much money on my transit card because I thought we could use it for parking but nope, I had to use my cash for parking. I never use public transportation so I will have to find a reason to hop on the train a few times and use my credits. I ended up getting to the court house a few minutes late but I think they expect that because they didn't start until well after 9am. I didn't have cash to eat at the snack bar and didn't know where anything was so I am lucky I brought some cereal bars to munch on. I never got called for an actual jury. They showed a few movies but the best part about the day was finishing the second book of the Hunger Games. I pretty much was hoping not to get called once I got into the book. We were able to leave around 4 and as soon as I walked out the front of the courthouse I noticed a Quiznos directly across the street. DUH for me! I wouldn't have had to starve all day.  

Today I am going to show you my St. Patrick's Day mani. It wasn't what I intended to do but I still loved it. I was going to change my mani Saturday morning but then I got to the great polish organization of 2012 and didn't get around to it so this one stayed. 

I used two coats of Revlon Posh and a gradient with the green and gold snowman glitter. It was very St. Patrick's Day!

It looks a little washed out with the flash but it is a gorgeous green. I love the shade and it is so very vibrant. It screams grass green and beautiful lawns to me.

The formula was great and I was very impressed with the polish. I really like the bold color and am trying to think of another mani for it. 

My cuticles and hands are so ragged though. The cuticles are starting to heal from all the cuts and craziness but they are still dry and ragged. 

This mani held up really well in my crazy organizing fit and building a helmer. 

I could have gotten away with another couple of days. The only real issue with the mani is where I dinged my finger while it was still wet and painted over it. That is a little visible on my middle finger but that had nothing to do with the polish and everything to do with clumsiness.  

Alrighty since I am in the middle of my Fantasy Baseball draft I should probably stop rambling and focus on the players I am drafting. If my team is awful this year I think we will know why.

Epic Christmas Mani Post

Hey Everyone!! I know I SUCK! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday which ever you celebrate. Our Christmas was pretty low key especially since I have been trying to get sick for days. I feel pretty crappy and am actually hoping to just get the stupid cold already so it will start to go away. It is lingering and taking its time getting here which is quite fun. 

Since I have missed quite a few posts I have an epic post for you today of my Christmas time nails. I might be a little flakey until the 9th but I will try and get a post up everyday. The bf's daughter is in town till then and we are going to be running around and stuff. I will hopefully be on the ball soon. I really hope I am not getting an ear infection lol. 

So I wanted to do snow flakes but my one plate with the snowflake image is the one plate that was ruined when my Shany plates came. The seller would never return my emails so I used another image that I thought looked close enough. I liked it.

It made me think of snow at least.

BUT it is 80 degrees here and no where near cold so this is about as close to snowflakes as I get.

I got lazy and just painted some reindeer over the snowflake mani. They came out pretty cute if I do say so myself.

They were really fun and I hated to take them off.

I think they looked somewhat like bears though.

I found OPI Smitten with Mittens at CVS. It was exciting. I don't usually do reds often but I like this one.

Of course the only pictures I took when I had it on came out blurry and I didn't notice that until today. DUH.

Also lazy I just painted some Gingerbread men on top of SwM. I had some issues with the eyes but they didn't come out too bad.

I liked them and they made me want Gingerbread Lattes.

They didn't last long because there was some tip wear that just kept getting worse.

I used Bernard for my Christmas Eve Mani. Bernard is the snowman with the green and red glitter. I love him.

I used Smitten with Mittens and China Glaze Glittering Garland. I really liked this mani too. I was apparently feeling the red this year.

I think this glitter reminded me of sugar cookies.

Tomorrow I will show you my Christmas Day mani which I am still wearing. I should take it off tonight but I really love it and don't want to. I think I might leave it on ONE more day which is odd. I think I really AM sick. Maybe I have a fever lol.

Awesome Present and a New Sweater

Hey Everyone!! How are we all today? I am feeling better though I think I am getting sick. I am READY for a break so I can not wait till Friday. I am NOT ready for Christmas though so I CAN wait for Friday lol. I need to brave the mall again I think to pick up a last minute gift or two. I also need to go get some stuff from CVS and I totally forgot I need conditioner. I need to make a list. I have so much to do and so little time.

Today was an epic mail day. I got lots of nail mail and some Christmas presents that I was hoping would be here in time for Christmas. Luckily they all arrived so I don't have to sweat that out anymore.

I got an awesome Christmas package today from my friend Jess. I knew it was coming soon but I was surprised it was here today. That was fast.

Um, it was quarantined in this plastic bag. It is really hilarious if you read the whole thing. In big bold print it says WE CARE then goes on to apologize for damaging your package. Are you REALLY sure you care? For some reason I don't think they really do. I ripped that sucker open so fast because I was afraid of what was inside. There was no odor so nothing seemed broken. I ripped open the envelope expecting to see a mess but the only thing that was even close to damaged was a chocolate. PHEW. 

Look how cute the stickers and paper is! Even the stickers are glittery and awesome! I love them but accidentally decapitated Santa. I hope that doesn't have any influence on Christmas this year.

The card was super cute too. I like her pants!

I was dancing around when I was opening this package. I was also impatiently awaiting my camera to charge. THANK YOU to my friend Jess who is awesome and amazing. I absolutely love this package. My son was all over me about it being a Christmas package and how I was supposed to wait for Christmas to open it. HA! HA! HA! That was so funny. I laughed as I opened it up! lol

I also have some Bruce Kittlee Master Ninja Warrior photos for you. I made him a new sweater at work today. It is quite bright purple because that is the only color I had at work besides gray and well he is gray. I wanted it to stand out and boy does it stand out lol. It is also WAY too big on him. I need to revise the pattern and make him a smaller one. 

My son was holding him because he was ready to run. He did NOT want to be photographed today.

It is quite huge on him. He gets it off really quickly too. I need to make it smaller.

Yeah, I think he is pretty much over the sweaters lol

CORDUR- ORANGE N LIONEL

Hey Everyone!! Another late night! We had to run out and get the supplies for my son's science fair project. I HATE science fair projects. He told us it was due in late December originally and now he realized it was due in late November. That thud you heard was me hitting the roof. We have less than a month. Not cool.

Today I have a nice fall mani for you all. I did a tape mani for this one.

I used ONE coat of Finger Paints Cordur-Orange from their Fall Fashionista collection. It was ONE coat. ONE! I love it. Burnt orange fall goodness.

I used my awesome Pumpkin Lionel. That is the silver hex in the brownish clear base polish for those of you who don't remember Lionel. I LOVE that polish and it looks great over Cordur-Orange.

I really like this mani. A lot. It looks very Fall to me.

All the pictures above were taken inside the kitchen since it is so late and they had flash.

These last few were taken without flash. I don't want to take this mani off.

Oh and this nasty picture is where I say my cuticles are torn to hell so please excuse them and my lack of cleanup. I need to do some heavy moisturizing. I always slack on that on the weekends but they are just beyond bad.

Last but not least some Bruce Kittlee Master Ninja Warrior photos for you. This one I thought was awesome because of the ripples.

He is such a cutie. He is being nice tonight too which is always good. Some nights he is a lunatic. Tonight he is calm and nice.

I also like his tongue in this one lol. He has just finished a piece of dog food he had stolen from the dog's bowl. He steals their food all the time but it is ok because they steal his.

Birthday Stuff

Hey Everyone!!! I thought I would share my birthday pictures with you all :) There are lots of them so I better get started lol.

My birthday cake made by the bf and my mom. She found the Cat in the Hat stuff with some candles that were probably from my son's birthday years ago lol.

My son made me a card. I am VARY colorful he says lol He is a cutie

Bruce's card for me :) The inside said HERE COMES YOUR BIG BIRTHDAY HUG. Not only does this card look like him but this is something he would do.

It was Twiggy's birthday too so she came over for the day. She is four.

More candles :) (I am returning these though. They don't make the room smell much so I am going to take them back and get something else. I used to LOVE Yankee Candle but lately they have disappointed me)

I LOVE YODA!!! This little guy is my new friend.

My brother made this with some machine he has. It took him four hours. It is really cool and you can see the detail of his face in person but in pictures not so much.

Bruce Kittlee Master Ninja Warrior decided to get into the bag after I took the presents out.

I got this package on my birthday from my awesome nail board friend Jess. She shouldn't have but it was quite fun opening up :) THANK YOU JESS!!!! I didn't take pictures of the Reeces Pumpkins, they were yummy.

Party Hearty!! I have wanted this one which is funny because  I didn't decide that until after I swapped mine AND found one for my friend Silke. I can't wait to use it!

It was a great birthday! I never have been wished happy birthday so much and I have awesome friends that were so super sweet and thought of me on my birthday! I also got tickets to the Transiberian Orchestra which I was DYING to see so that is super cool. I have the best family and friends EVER!
