Sinful Colors Fly Away

Hello all! Yay for Hump day! I love it! Two more days until the weekend. I don't have big plans but even no plans looks good right now :) I had to wake up earlier than normal to take my son for his shots today. I always think of animals when I talk about getting shots lol. Bruce Kittlee Master Ninja Warrior needs some shots too actually. It feels like it has been such a long day since I had to get up early.

Oh I have a great Bruce Kittlee Master Ninja Warrior story. Bruce loves the shower. He doesn't like to get wet but he is fascinated by the water and loves to hang out on the edge of the tub when showers are taken. He actually will walk around or stand at the bathroom door talking if he isn't allowed in. He gets upset about it which is funny. Yesterday the tub was filling up for a bath and he apparently jumped up on the tub and slipped in. My dad witnessed this and was laughing hysterically. He said he jumped out faster than he fell in. By the time I got there the poor guy was sitting in a puddle, sopping wet, very unhappily licking himself off. I tried to dry him off with a towel but he doesn't enjoy towels. He was quite unhappy about the situation but he sure was right up on that tub this morning. Silly cat.

For Today's manicure I used Sinful Colors Fly Away. I used Sally Hansen Insta Dri Blue Away for the stamping.

I used the top image from plate B39 to stamp.

I started with two coats of Fly Away. I really liked the color on this one. It applied well and in two coats it was perfect. My only complaint was the brush was kind of stubby and stiff. I didn't have major issues with the brush but I did notice it.

Sally Hansen Blue-Away stamped really well. I love using the Insta Dris for stamping because they seem to work really well for it. The ones I have tried anyway.

This picture is with flash. It looks a little lighter. I need to work on placement for my stamping. They aren't all uniform and tilted correctly.

I was really happy with how nice this mani looked. It would have been better had the stamping been even.

I always have an issue with the french type tip plates. I don't think I have gotten one to look right yet lol. Practice makes perfect though.

Maybe if my nails were all a similar shape and length...

That's all for now :)

  1. I just got some new SCs and I noticed the weird stiff, stubby brush too. This color was OOS but next time I stop by Walgreens I'll pick it up. It looks great on you!

  2. Oh I am glad I am not the only one who noticed that brush. It is odd. It didn't give me horrible problems but it wasn't pleasant either. Thank You :) It is really a nice color and I am guessing it woulld stamp really well too though I haven't tried that yet.

  5. Thank you :)

I think stamping takes some practice, as you can see mine aren't very straight most of the time, but it isn't overly difficult. I haven't tried the Essence plates yet, I have never seen them here.
