Glittery Gel Mani

Hey Everyone!!! SO I went to the doctor today. I apparently have what sounds like a pinched nerve. I feel better knowing that I am not having a heart attack or other crazy things that I came up with in my head. It is actually starting to get better but I went to the doctor anyway because I knew I would freak out again when the pain came back. I also walked into a pointed piece of concrete this morning at the supermarket while wearing flip flops. I broke my toenail and have a nice gash in my toe but otherwise it is fine. It hurt like hell though, I was near tears. It is pretty ugly looking too lol I have been showing everyone!

Since I didn't blog yesterday I am bribing you with a cute picture of Neil. He is actually shaking a lot less now which is weird. He is the sweetest little guy. I LUFF HIM!

Today I have a gel mani to show you. I LOVED This mani. So sparkly and glittery.

I used ProGel Blue Granite for the base color. It was very sheer but a pretty watery color.

I then covered the nail in Artsyfartsycrafts glitter in Meridian Blue and Deep Green Crystal. You can find Artsyfartsycrafts glitter here.

I absolutely LOVE Artsyfartsycrafts glitter to use with gel manis and highly recommend them for all your glittering needs. I haven't tried them on regular manis yet but it is on the schedule for the near future. I am addicted to all things glitter right now lol.

This mani was super sparkly and fun and I stamped various sea inspired things on top which I will be showing you later. I really need to improve my stamping skills.

I used four coats of Blue Granite for the base so this mani was super thick which I didn't enjoy as much.

I hadn't tried ProGel before and right now the jury is still out on it. I wasn't thrilled with having to use 4 coats to get a less than opaque finish. I have to look into this polish more and definitely try it again. I got it on clearance so I wasn't too terribly upset.

I wish I could have captured the gorgeousness of the glitter on camera. I think I need an OTT light. I don't know if that would help but everything I tried in natural light didn't work.

I took tons of pictures anyway.

So shiny and pretty.

I can't figure out what mani to do next. I guess I should go stare at some polishes until something jumps out at me.

That's all for now :)

  1. Breathtaking!!!! Pretty, beautiful .... Don't take it off, please and Neil is such a cute little "cat-man" :-) I love the hairy ears, do you have to brush (groom) him because of his longer hair? xxx

    1. Thanks :) My shoulder has been bugging me tonight but it isn't too bad. I am not real appreciative of the lightheadedness but I am hoping it starts getting better.

Neil is great! He was just reading a paper that df was holding in front of him. It was so cute.

Artsyfartsycrafts makes me laugh every time! I just got butterfly glitter in from her. Can't wait to play with it.
