Hey Everyone!! Well, Summer is winding down. We took C's daughter home this weekend and now we are child free until my son comes home Friday. Since we can't really take a vacation and usually aren't child free I took yesterday off to have a little relaxing day. We went to see the Conjuring and went out to eat which was a nice little date day. I can't believe the summer is already almost over though. I am really getting disturbed by how quickly time seems to fly now. I don't like it at all. T starts high school this year which also freaks me out a bit. Things should be getting back to normal with my blogging schedule I hope. I did a quick sort and organize of my polishes last night. I had to have them back in the helmers by this morning so it was a very overwhelming process. The bad news is I am going to be going on a pretty strict budget and no buy soon but the good news is I have a ton and a half of polish that will keep me occupied.
Today I have a very pretty holo from a newer brand.
Colors by Llarowe is a newer indie brand created by the awesome Leah Ann of Llarowe.
Rare Bear is from the Cheetoman and the Gang collection.
Rare Bear is a medium gray blue holographic polish that was inspired by the gorgeous kitten eyes of it's namesake. There is a picture on the website that makes me squeal and want to snuggle the cute little baby so bad. I went from not being very into cats to wanting all the cats all the time.
I used three coats of Rare Bear. This polish applied so easily and gave me zero problems. I love it!
Obviously since there is a keyboard in the background these pictures are taken indoors. The holo is pretty evident in the office lighting.
I love the color of this polish. It is a very pretty gray blue that seems to have the slightest hint of green on me.
For all you animal lovers it is posted on Llarowe's site that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this polish will go to the ASPCA which I didn't know when I bought it. I actually intended on trying for Gizmo but in the craze of the launch I wasn't able to get Gizmo and picked this one instead. There was no time for reading during the insane trying to order before polishes were sold out but now that I know about this I love the polish and Leah Ann even more.
The sunlight pictures make the polish look washed out but darn it I needed to get some direct sunlight to show you the holo.
You can see that this polish does have a nice holo when it is in the sun. I was actually lucky enough to get some sun when I wore this one. It was not out long but long enough for me to get some pictures.
Right now we have a heck of a thunderstorm going on outside. It is pouring and storming and I am half expecting the power to blink at any moment. Thank goodness Blogger saves periodically. Of course because I am brilliant I accidentally commanded the window to close just now which for some reason I keep doing with this new computer. I am so glad Blogger saves my work for me.
Since my nails were starting to get long and look nice and I was starting to get excited about their growth they decided to all break. First it was two on my left hand so I decided to just file down those. Then last night in my organization frenzy I noticed one broke. I didn't have time to deal with it but this morning when I was taking off my last mani I realized that two of them actually broke. I filed down my right hand as well and now I am back to nubs. It is a never ending battle with these nails.
That's all for now :)
