Mlle. Violette de Bleu

Hey Everyone! I have been researching and experiment I am doing so I have an older mani for you today. I did this one back in February so you will notice my nails are longer than they are currently. I am trying to get through the back log of manis that I have built up while my research/experiment phase is going on. I have a bunch that I haven't posted. 

Today I have a Lynnderella polish to show you from the Lovely is as Lovely Does collection. 

Mlle. Violette de Bleu. 

A lot of people I noticed layered this gorgeous blue glitter over a darker blue polish so of course I had to see what it looked like alone. Well, almost alone.

I used two coats of Essie Waltz as a base. 

I liked Waltz because it gave a milky base and the Mlle. Violette de Blue to tint it a bit.

I used two coats of Mlle. Violette de Bleu over Waltz.

I love this mani.

Next time I will layer it over a dark blue but I love to see how polishes look on their own.

And now the kittens need their food and a bath.

Push Up Bra

Hey Everyone!! AH, Monday. I have a quick post for you all today. I still have to do my nails and get some stuff ready for tomorrow. I feel like I have been on the verge of falling asleep all day. The kittens have decided they are World Champion Wrestlers for WWE. They have epic battles and will bite, claw, headbutt and fling themselves on each other. They look like they are boxing too. It is really funny to watch but not so funny to listen to in the middle of the night when you should be sleeping. 

Today I have a bright coral color for you that I wouldn't ordinarily wear. I got this one in a swap and found that it was REALLY fun to wear. 

I also think the name is funny too. Misa Push Up Bra. I have no idea why they would name it that because to me it does not scream Push Up Bra but it still makes me laugh when I think of it.

This color was almost impossible to photograph. It is slightly lighter than this picture I think.

I had a really icky cut on my index finger in these pictures so I tried to blur it a bit with photoshop so it didn't gross you out too much. It was not a very nice cut.

I did this mani real quick and then it wasn't completely dry apparently because there are lots of sheet marks and other dings in it.

I believe this was three coats because I was trying to get rid of the visible nail line. Even after three coats it was still slightly visible.

It is a great summer color and I will probably have this on my toes soon.

Falling Star

Hey Everyone!!! I am having the worst day so far. I mean, it could BE worse and I am thankful that it is nothing major but it is pretty annoying. From kitten poop to lack of sleep there has been tons of rushing around, my son was late to school and then work. Oy, work. Just one annoying thing after another. I also get to go home and clean up a bottle of polish that Bruce Kittlee Master Ninja Warrior assassinated sometime last night. He threw it off the table where it fell to it's death. FUN! These kittens are a lot of work too. I am in need of a nap.

Today I am going to show you Barielle Falling Star. I wanted this polish for awhile before I finally decided to get it. I am glad I did because I really like it.

It is unique and I don't have anything else similar that I can think of. It is a gorgeous blue with copper glitter.

I used two coats.

I have a thing for copper glitter. I love it.

The orchid I got my mom for Easter was the perfect backdrop.

Maybe I should carry the plant around with me, it matched pretty well.

This is one of my favorite Barielle polishes. I need more copper glitter in my life now.

A Ton of Vacation Pictures

Hey Everyone!!! Tonight I have something different for you. Tonight I have a ton of pictures from my Ft. Myers trip last weekend. 

The kittens got to go on their first trip! I love them, that is a slight problem because I can't keep them. I love them though.

Bruce HATED vacation a lot! He really really hates the kittens. He was happy when he finally realized he could sit in the window and look out though.

We went to Manatee Park to try and see some Manatees but this is pretty much the only one we saw.

Some of Florida is not beachy and is more swampy or Everglades. Still no Manatee though.

I know you guys want to see the beach!

We tried to see the sunset on the west coast but the clouds were in the way.

It had rained that day and the water was a lot colder than I anticipated. We didn't go to get in the water just to see it.

We were going to go earlier so my son could get in the water but it rained most of the afternoon.

This looked so much cooler in person.

They had cool shells over there.

LOTS of them!

Those little birds were so cool. They ran super fast.

I like the way the sun hits the water. 

We went to a strange little mini golf place that had some strange gorillas.

This guy wanted a hug.

I also got my anniversary present this weekend...

Barracuda

Hey Everyone!!!!! In the past hour I have had two particularly rude, condescending jerks that I have had to deal with at work. One was a call in and one was a chat on the website live help chat. People are so very rude!

So the little kittens are doing well. Last night they slept through the night which was greatly appreciated. They are starting to understand the litter box which is also greatly appreciated. Unfortunately they can't climb in it themselves so it is interesting. They are eating like little piggies but progressing everyday. They are very shaky and don't stand well a lot of the time. They are super cute though.

This is the bigger fluffy one. We call him spaz or Wicket or piggy or fatboy depending. He is cute, totally a spaz though. It isn't his fault but it is still funny. He eats like a pig!

This is the smaller one. This one gets food all over it even though it is just eating from a bottle. So sweet and super cuddly.

Today I have Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Barracuda for you. This one came out in Spring 2011 yet  remained untried until this mani.

I love the shade of this bright pastel blue but the formula was not exactly my friend.

This did not go on well at all. It was very streaky and uneven and took three coats to get it to even out.

I had some bubbling issues with this one as well.

I picked up the striper from Sinful Colors in neon yellow and decided I needed some stripes on my left hand.

I was quite impressed with the neon yellow. It is really bright!

I actually kind of like this color combination a lot too!

Ok. I had a couple more pictures but you get the point. The kittens have decided to wake up and whine so I have to get them quieted down since I am still at work. I am lucky to have a job that allows me to take care of them while I am at work. Well, they are lucky actually lol.
