Electric Jack O Lanterns

Hey Everyone!! Hope everyone's Wednesday was Wonderful! It is a bit closer to Friday so I am happy with it. We have a thief in the house now. The bf left $11 on top of the XBox which is on top of our dresser. It was a ten dollar bill and a one dollar bill crumpled up together. Mr. Bruce Kittlee Master Ninja Warrior was up on the XBox with the money in his mouth when the bf told him to leave it alone and get down. Next thing you know Mr. Bruce took the money and ran under the bed. He hid it under there somewhere and came out without it. His ninja training apparently now includes the arts of stealing and hiding the goods.

Today I saw the Walgreens Exclusive Wet N Wild Limited Edition Ice Baby display.

It features 8 glitter shades. The bottles are only .34oz so they are somewhat small and $2.99 each. The glitters are pretty but nothing so spectacular that I bought any of them. I might go back though, one can never tell. If they were cheaper, say, $1.99 I probably would have snagged them without even hesitating but I am trying to save my monies for the China Glaze Holiday polishes.

Today I have for you a Jack O Lantern mani attempt. I am not overly happy with it but considering I did it all free hand I guess it isn't too bad. I used one coat of P2 Electric as the base. I used the Sinful Colors black nail art polish to paint the faces then used my Fantasy Makers Glow in the Dark over the black which is why it looks weird. My son said it looked green.

I put Seche Vite over everything which of course smeared some of it a bit.

It is cute though because the faces Glow in the Dark which of course I couldn't get to show up on camera. I tried repeatedly too.

It was cute but I wasn't totally loving it. Hopefully tomorrow's is better :)

That's all for now :)

Some Random Displays to Hold you Over

Hey Everyone! As a South Floridian I am all too familiar with hurricanes and have been keeping an eye on Irene for days. I everyone on the East Coast is prepared and safe and sound. My thoughts are with them and I am hoping the storm weakens real quick to minimize the damage.

Yesterday was quite a trying day. Between work and finally hearing back from my son's stupid school I was NOT in a good mood. I also didn't get a chance to take pictures of my mani. Last night I was going to post a few of my recent display sightings but my father rushed me out the door to go to our Fantasy Football Draft. My camera is dead so I will have to show you my mani later :)

I am sure you have seen a lot of these displays already. I have been taking the pictures but neglecting to post them. I am not yet bold enough to whip out my camera in the store so they are pretty sad cell phone pictures. At first the only Essie fall display I could find was the little four color one.

I was extremely excited to find the large display in another Walgreens.

I spotted an untouched Rimmel London's Wicked Beauty display in CVS. The one Rags to Riches polish that is missing is the one I took and forgot to put back down for the picture. duh for me. I used that nice little $1.00 coupon which made me happy.

Is everyone on the crack bandwagon? Apparently. I found this at Walgreens. If I wasn't over the crack I would be intrigued.

Another CVS display of NYC Black Magic. It was also untouched save for the Pumpkin polish I picked up. Once again I forgot to put it back for the picture. This one is also a bit oddly taken because there was a woman next to me that wouldn't move.

Sallys had the Orly Mineral FX collection out. I was hoping I could pass on this one because I know there are said to be tons of dupes but seeing them in person makes me want three of them. I resisted buying them but plan on going back. For some reason I can't find the picture of the Metro display that I took.

The Carbonite displays are finally showing up around here. Oddly enough I already got mine on clearance at one CVS that I never saw the display at to begin with.

Random Sally Hansen Halloween display. I don't think any of these are new colors though.

The coveted Salon Effects Halloween are starting to show up. I picked up the ghosts. I want to get the barbed wire ones as well as the skulls and the spider webs. The only thing is that I have never tried these and I am not sure if I am going to like them. I have coupons though so if they go on sale they will be mine.

A couple of random Sinful Colors displays at Walgreens. Now that I think about it I need to go get one of those white nail art stripers. I keep wiping off the brush of my black one and using it for other colors. I need to just get some brushes, it would probably work better.

This is a cool Kiss Nails display I saw. Since I am quite into water slide decals at the moment I didn't get any of these stickers. I might go back and take another look though.

Well my father keeps hinting that he wants me to make a Wendy's run for him so I better do that before he gets hostile.

That's all for now :)

Neon Disaster

Hey Everyone!! I got quite caught up in a novel of an email to a friend out of state and totally lost track of time so this one is pretty late. We are trying to get the odds and ends taken care of before school starts Monday so this week's posts will probably be late. I have a pretty jam packed week with errands after work. I hope everyone had a good Monday and a great weekend.

Today I went to a couple of CVS stores. I was browsing the Revlon section since I had a $3.00 off coupon and found a lone Carbonite hanging out in the display. I grabbed it and trolled the rest of the store. I found another Carbonite in the clearance bin and when I looked the one in my hand was marked as well. I guess the lady at the register took 75% off because I ended up getting them for $1.25 each. SCORE! I also found the display below at that CVS!

I was SO excited but didn't get any because I had just spoken to the bf about how we need to not spend too much :(  I will be going back though lol. I went to another CVS because the first did not have my diet root beer and they did not have this display AND they had Carbonite at regular price. It baffles me how different the stores are. I bought a random Revlon with my coupon and got $3.00 extra bucks so I am going to take that and another $1.00 off coupon and get one of the Salon Effects. I am not sure which one though. I will work it out so I spend $10 and get the extra bucks on that too hehe. The only issue is it is WAY too early to use them :(

For tonight's mani I have for you my Neon Disaster. It looked great in my head but not so much on my nail. I started with a white base. I used Wet N Wild but I forget the name of it. It is the 69 cent white. I sponged the neon colors on the white. I used China Glaze Shocking Pink and Kiwi Cool-ada, Essie Funky Limelight and Color Club Orange Revenge. I then topped it with OPI Black Shatter.

As you can tell, not pretty! The neons looked good BUT I apparently put the Shatter on too soon because not only did it not shatter on the pinkie but it pulled away at the cuticles taking some polish with it.

I could not get this off soon enough. It bothered me ALL day and I could not get it off fast enough.

On this pinkie I tried to scratch some of the Shatter off but that was a stupid idea. It clearly didn't work. I was disappointed.

I want to show you the next two pictures because I think they are hilarious. I was trying to get pictures of my nails in a different position. Um, I think I could have come up with better ideas.

A Battery?! Really? Um, all I can say is that it was the closest thing I could find. Pretty lame BUT you have a great view of the hideous pulling away from the cuticle. Not cute.

And a brownie? Really? I was eating one and it apparently seemed like a good idea to photograph it. Unfortunately the idea is much stupider than it was at the time lol. I think I might want to stick to normal posing.

That's all for now :)

Quick Display Shot

Hey Everyone! This will be short but I wanted to show you all the Essice Carry On display in its full glory. Since Walgreens and CVS only have four colors (if any) and I didn't see this display at Ulta or any salons yet I was excited to capture a picture.

The colors actually look pretty nice together. I wasn't impressed with the four I saw at Walgreens the first time I saw them. I caved and got Powerclutch after seeing swatches and realizing I had a coupon and extra bucks so I was only paying a couple dollars. I don't think I will be getting any more of them unless it is later on clearance. I have a rough time passing up clearance deals lol.

I am off to the dentist, AGAIN. I am planning on stopping at a CVS I have never been to IF it stops raining and I make it there early enough. I will have a real post up for you later.

That's all for now :)

Colada and Apple-tinis

Ah thank goodness it is hump day. I am falling asleep today! Normally when I buy new polishes I don't necessarily use them immediately. I tend to get the Limited Edition stuff because I am always afraid it will be gone and then I will realize I want it. Saturday I had ran to Walgreens looking for ice to transport the chocolates and I saw this display on a cart. I was intrigued by the one they call Colada because it looked like an even better version of Blue Lagoon which I have been wanting. I assumed they would be putting it out and Revlon was on sale buy one get one 50% off. They didn't have the ice and I didn't have the time so I snapped a picture and intended to come back later.

I didn't make it back Saturday but needed ingredients for the pumpkin bread/cookies Sunday so I ran to Walgreens again. I very much hate my Walgreens, the display was no where to be found and they didn't have the ingredients I needed. BOO!! I had gone to two other Walgreens and that same one Monday and this display was NO WHERE to be found. Talk about annoying! I finally found it at the little hole in the wall Walgreens that never has anything so I never go there. I guess I had a feeling because it was an untouched display. I snatched up Colada and Apple-tini Fizz right away. I was also short on time so I didn't stand there and debate buying more. I think I want them all though, especially after trying these two.

On the right is Apple-tini Fizz and the left is Colada from the Revlon Sweetly Seductive scented collection. It is a collection right? lol.

I had on Essence Underwater yesterday, here is a picture to remind you what it looks like. I was bored driving home and bored of the color (darn you hiding glitter) so I decided to give these two a whirl. Long traffic lights at least provide me with enough time to do things like this lol.

This is two coats of Colada over Essence Underwater. It looked so sparkly and pretty.

I put two coats of Apple-tini Fizz on my right hand over Underwater. I LOVE the way this one looked.

I added a second picture because it surprised me how much I liked this combo.

Last night when I redid my mani I decided that I needed to complete my post of these two by doing a mani with them. The problem is that I wanted to see what it would look like over white as well. I had a fabulous idea of a gradient mani in white topped with these two. Unfortunately it is more fabulous in my mind than on my hand.

My gradient is lacking. I am sorry, this I would consider a fail but I wanted to post it anyway. I used a Wet N Wild White that I can't remember the name of that I got when they were .69 cents at Walgreens. I also used a makeup sponge to sponge the white on which is probably the issue. I don't have enough experience with sponging. I topped it with two coats of Apple-tini and Colada on alternating nails.

I wanted you to basically be able to see the color that it is when used alone then over white. You can kind of see that here. These polishes are very sheer which is great for layering but I don't think it is going to be too sheer for me to want to use it alone. Colada is not really as blue on the nail or even over white as it is in the bottle. Blue Lagoon it is not but I bet it would look awesome over it. I think if you mixed the two it might be perfect! I guess that means I still need to buy Blue Lagoon lol.

Ok since these are scented polishes lets talk about the scent. Colada has a strange scent I can not place. Apple-tini has a fruity scent but not necessarily like apple, I think it smells more like fruity candy. Over Underwater I did not use a top coat and the smell was much stronger. It wasn't overwhelming but I did have an issue when I was eating dinner. I happened to have corn on the cob and it was a little disturbing to be smelling this polish while trying to eat.

I used a top coat over the gradient mani and it lessened the scent a bit. I didn't notice the scent as much today and it wasn't overly annoying while I was eating. The scent is still there but it is more faint. Right now all I can smell is Lemony Flutter so the smell can be over powered by something stronger lol.

That's all for now :)

Essence Underwater

Is it Friday yet? Today I am not quite as annoyed as yesterday but I am REALLY tired. I managed to get another drawer on my spreadsheet last night which is quite an accomplishment but unfortunately it wasn't one of the fuller drawers. lol baby steps. I also found a polish I bought for my friend that somehow ended up in my drawer. Luckily I am sending her a package anyway so I shoved it in there as well. I think I am getting a headache too. Today is the first day of summer and it is HOT!!! It has been hot for months because in South Florida we have two seasons, Hot and Hotter! I think it is nearing the Hotter now :)

I don't remember if I bought this polish in Ulta or if it was sent to me. Either way I loved it in the bottle because it is a pretty navy blue with blue glitter.

Essence Underwater. You can sort of see the glitter a bit in the bottle picture. Unless you tip the bottle and have it in the light the glitter hides. I was so excited thinking that the glitter would really show itself on the nail but alas it does not want to play.

This is two coats. If you have a heavy hand and are better at application than I am you can get away with one. Please excuse the weird spot on my index finger where the nail polish disappeared. I don't have a clue where it went but when I looked down it was gone. Very strange. This picture is in the shade.

Now these pictures are taken outside with and without flash in natural light. In direct light it looks lighter and in the shade it looks darker but that is not surprising. I kept getting reflections in the polish lol.

The color is pretty, it is a nice Navy type blue but that stupid glitter is NO WHERE to be found. I can NOT see it on the nail unless I hold my hand the right way about 6 inches from my face and happen to catch the light. It is angering.

Now today is when the camera and it's macro abilities really taunts me because in many of these pictures you can actually see the darn glitter. Yes, I have been giving the bottle dirty looks all day. I know the glitter is in there but it refuses to play nice.

I was actually thinking the weird missing piece on my nail looked cool and would look even cooler with one on the other side of the nail. Odd, I know.

Application of the brat was great. I had no issues though I am not really fond of the brush. I am really impressed with Essence. The bottles they carry in the normal display at Ulta are small but usually when I am trying to bring my total up for a coupon and there isn't anything on clearance I look for one of these babies.

The color is a tad darker than this picture. I think the glitter factor has disappointed me so much that I am really no longer interested in this mani today lol. I am ready to take it off or change it. Stupid glitter.

I saw this display at CVS the other day. They have coupons on it too :) I like coupons! There wasn't anything I HAD to have though so I walked away with nothing.

And some cute pictures of Bruce. He goes back to the doctor on Thursday but all is well so far. He still has his stitches and is on his antibiotics. He is quite the little brat sometimes though. His new thing is to jump on the table which drives my mother batty. He knows he shouldn't be up there and watches us the entire time he does it daring us to get up and come after him. It's funny but of course I can't let him know that. If anyone has any suggestions for curbing this behavior I am all ears! My mom's one thing is the cat CAN NOT be on the table or the kitchen counter.

Here he is ready to pounce on my face. He jumped right after I took the picture. He wasn't going for my face (this time) but was trying to get the cord that hangs from my cell phone. He is funny.

And this is a picture of one of the streets near my house. I know it is boring but it was on my camera lol. That is a turkey vulture on top of the light pole. You can't see it well but we have tons of them that hang out by this canal. They kind of creep me out.

That's all for now :)

My Car Gave Me a Gift (complete with pictures)

****Another post that was resurrected from Internet oblivion. Sorry if something was duplicated but this post was supposed to be posted last Thursday****

I have lots of pictures for you in this post. I figured I would do a fun post with some random stuff. I was out and about the past two days and came across a few new displays I wanted to share. First I was at two different Walgreens and saw this HUGE display at both.

It is a bunch of Sinful Colors neon colors. The center section has some bottles for nail art. If I wasn't on a no buy right now (thank you kitty) I might have picked up that purple and a nail art polish but I didn't.

I saw this display with Revlon mini sets. The blue in the set on the right is called Waterfall and I LOVE it. It looks suspiciously similar to Blue Lagoon which they have a full size in another display. Sorry I don't have a picture of that one but I will see if I can try and get them side by side at some point. The Walgreens near my house is very hit or miss.

This baby I had to search for and I found it at a spanish pharmacy. Looking at the picture I totally want to rearrange the display so the colors are in the right places. I didn't pick any up but a couple intrigue me and I hope Walgreens gets them and has a sale. Are you listening Walgreens?? I have a BUNCH of change in the bottom of my purse I can use :)

Now here is where the title of this post comes into play. I was looking for a flash drive in this compartment of my car that I normally don't go into. I usually keep a brush in there but I needed the flash drive so I actually dug through it. I found a zip lock baggie with a BUNCH of change in it in there too. I am really good at throwing change in my purse and by the time I get around to emptying it out there is usually about 20 bucks in there. I only empty it out when my purse starts getting heavy lol. One time I threw it all in the zip lock baggie and apparently it is still in there lol. ALSO in there was this OPI polish. As you can see there is something gross on the label but I was super excited to find it.

I have no idea when it was left in there or that I even had this polish. It was kind of exciting to find though, too bad it wasn't a super hard to find polish lol. So I was happy because my car, Alberto Ruiz, gave me a gift yesterday. It brightened my day! And YES my car has a name, actually a first and last name. He wasn't named for anyone and I don't even know an Alberto much less one with the last name Ruiz but when I saw my car that is the name that came to me.

Say hello to my little friend!

Little Bruce Kittlee was helping me go through my BOX O GOODIES last night. I totally said BOX O GOODIES in a deep announcer voice in my head when I wrote that. He was quite interested in all the foreign goodies.

And here he is picking one out for me. I think he liked the Catherine Arleys the best.

That's all for now :)
