St. Patrick's Day

Hey Everyone!! Last day of March, last St. Patrick's Day green mani. This is the mani I actually wore on St. Patrick's Day. I loved it, so much fun.

We went to lunch the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day and they gave me this Guinness bead necklace. I will take most anything if it is free and decided that it would be a nice festive prop for these pictures. I don't actually drink Guinness, or anything alcoholic really, but it was green.

For the base of this mani I used Smitten Polish Not Your Mama's Easter Grass and Milani Milan as a gradient.

I had to have some gold in with my green and Milan is a great gold foil like polish. I loved the gradient base and I usually don't love gold.

This mani was so glowy and I wish I had thought to take a picture of just the base.

I used MoYou London plate Festive 21 for the images.

For some reason I didn't grab the tiny shamrocks correctly and they didn't come out perfect but they were still cute. I love this plate and highly recommend it for all your Irish and St. Patrick's Day stamping needs. Had it arrived earlier I would have done more manis with it but MoYou released it so close to the holiday that by the time it arrived I only had a couple days left to play. It is probably better that way seeing as I am still posting St. Patrick's Day going into April. Who knows how many more manis I would have to post had I gotten that plate sooner.

That's all for now :)

Smitten Girl Sprouts Stamped

Hey Everyone!! I have been slacking. Last week H was on Spring Break and then this week I have just been slacking. T is on break for the week this week and will be home tonight. I was able to do a ton of errands and accomplish several things yesterday so I was successful but not near a computer all day. I am finally getting this posted. I am totally ok with being smacked with a shoe for being so late on these next few posts.

This is one of my absolute favorite manis of the year. First it is green, second it is holo, third it has adorable shamrocks and fourth it has knotwork. I loved this mani oh so much.

I started with a base of Smitten Girl Sprouts. I don't know why I don't have a picture of just the base for this one. I love this green so much. It is bright and fun.

I used three coats of Girl Sprouts and then stamped with Konad black.

I used my new Creative Shop Stamper and was still getting used to it so there are some flaws with the stamping. It is such a fun mani I didn't even care too much. Well, maybe a little, but I ignored it.

I need to work on placement. I can't center these things for the life of me.

I used the new MoYou Festive plate 21 which I ordered the day it was released. I am way too into St. Patrick's Day to let that one wait.

I love the smaller shamrocks. They are so cute.

I absolutely love the quality of the MoYou plates. I swear I need to win the lottery so I can buy all the things. I think I would probably buy all of the MoYou plates. They work so well and I have never had an issue with any of the ones I have.

Candy Kisses

Hey Everyone!! I am late again. This should have posted last week for Smitten week but I wasn't feeling well at all and never got around to posting it. I actually just finished editing the pictures. I think we need another computer so I don't have to fight to get these pictures edited. I am finally feeling better but obviously not enough to get on the ball with everything. It should get better, I hope.

Today I have Smitten Polish Candy Kisses. Candy Kisses is from the Confection Collection otherwise known as the totally awesome Willy Wonka collection that I loved.

I used three coats of Candy Kisses. It makes me want candy.

This is a gorgeous white base with different sized purple and pink glitter. It is awesome.

I love how this one builds so you can see the glitter that was in the previous coat but the white is still opaque enough that it looks white.

This would be a great Valentine's Day mani and I thought of different stamping ideas for this polish while I was editing the pictures. I am thinking I will probably be wearing this one again soon.

I think I am missing one polish from this collection and now that I realize I am missing it I am going to have to try and get my hands on it so the collection is complete. I hate it when I realize these things and then they drive me crazy.

Huckleberry Pie Baby

Hey Everyone!! Well, I think the germs have caught me! My throat is not happy today. I am hoping that I don't get the full blown cold but it isn't looking good right now. I have a date with some more hot salt water in another half an hour. On a very exciting note I went from 23 likes on Facebook yesterday to 329 current likes. I am so excited. For those of you that went over there and liked the page THANK YOU!! So excited. I was beginning to think I was pretty much just talking to my friends who I guilted into liking the page. I am not about the numbers in any way since I really want people to follow and read because they like what they see but it was pretty cool to see the numbers go up.

Today we continue on with Smitten Polish week. I did some nail art with this mani to celebrate the birth of the gorgeous Olivia Rae who is absolutely adorable and I can't wait to meet. She is so cute and both mommy and baby are healthy and doing well.

I used Smitten Polish Huckleberry Pie as a base for the mani. This polish was from the inaugural Smitten Polish Nommy Noms Collection.

Huckleberry Pie has a milky purple lilac base with blue and purple glitter.

I used the baby designs from Bundle Monster plates BM-H21 and BM-307. I stamped with Zoya Mira, Wet N Wild Black and China Glaze Astro-Hot.

Here is a quick glance at Huckleberry Pie without stamping. I used three coats for this mani.

In honor of little Miss Olivia I stamped the bottle and pacifier patterns with Zoya Mira. I used black for the teddy bear and filled in the blocks with Astro-Hot.

I added this picture because it cracked me up. I had just put some cuticle balm on my nails and forgot to rub it in before taking the picture. Duh for me. Instead of nice smooth cuticles they have chunky goop on them.

I made a stamping decal with the block design. I stamped the design on a stamper then filled in the blocks before top coating and putting it on my nails. Unfortunately I messed up the letters a little on this one.

I really love the color of this polish, it is soft and pretty and the blue glitter pops against the purple.

I was able to get some sun shots today.

I didn't catch any of the holo from Astro-Hot because I used it on such a small area.

I like this mani, I almost want to keep it on except I have my next Smitten picked out and I am excited to finally wear that one too.

I think I need to go seek out a throat lozenge now that my salt water has worn off. I am really annoyed that I went to the doctor last Friday and got antibiotics for a throat infection that hasn't really bothered me until now. I do NOT want to go to the doctor again.

That's all for now :)

Bananaberry Gumdrop Bees

Hey Everyone! Well the germs have invaded our house. C is sick with a cold. I have been sneezing. A cold front has moved through so it is nice and cool outside again. I am guessing we will all be sick within days. Actually T has been upstairs all night so he might be able to avoid the germs.

In other news my beautiful cousin just welcomed a gorgeous baby girl into the world this afternoon. I am so excited I just wish we weren't states away. Tomorrow I will have a baby themed mani to celebrate. I am so excited. I keep refreshing facebook to see if they have posted any more pictures.

This week we are going to be featuring Smitten Polish

First up we have Bananaberry Gumdrop from the Berrydrops collection.

Bananaberry Gumdrop is a pale yellow crelly with subtle flakes.

I used three coats of Bananaberry Gumdrop for this mani. This polish is still available on etsy. I just realized that Noelie recommends letting each coat dry fully before proceeding to allow for better application. I didn't do this and did find it to streak a bit more than I would have liked.

I used Cheeky Jumbo plate 9 Wild at Heart to stamp the little bees.

The bee image is really cute but the way they are spaced out it was hard to get more than one complete bee on my nails.

I love the pale yellow shade of this polish. It is perfect for Spring and I already thought of several manis I need to use it for around Easter.

The pictures didn't pick up the flakies as well as I would have liked. They are very pretty and delicate but subtle.

This baby is marked down currently so it is a good time to grab it if you are interested especially since once it is gone I believe it will be discontinued.

Pink Goes Good with Green

Hey Everyone!!! I got very little sleep last night so I just realized that I never finished the blog post earlier. I had it opened and was working on it when I got sidetracked and figured I would do it later. That is what I get for procrastinating! I am going to make it a quick one because C is outside waiting for me and I need to get the office closed up.

Today I have a very awesome polish for you from Smitten Polish. This mani was done before all my nails broke so they are nice and pointy. I miss them.

Pink Goes Good with Green is from the Wickedly Smitten collection Noelie made inspired by the musical Wicked. I have not seen the musical yet but have heard raves about it.

I used three coats for this mani. It is a gorgeous milky green base with different sizes of light green and pink glitter. The application was easy and it applied nicely.

I really liked the glitter colors chosen for this one. C said it looked like a Robin Egg. I think it will definitely work very nicely for a Spring mani.

Since I can't have chocolate now due to my stupid stomach issues just the mention of Robins Eggs has me wanting some candy.

It has been really windy here the past few days which has made it cooler out. It is raining right now too so I am totally feeling like it is fall. I love fall! Hopefully it inspires me to wear some Fall hues.

Things might be touch and go for a bit. Last night I had some anxiety issues and didn't feel up to redoing my nails or editing photos for the blog. I also hardly slept last night due to stomach things so it is getting rather hectic. I will definitely try and keep up with daily posting but until we get my stomach situation under control I can't guarantee I will be consistent. I go back to the doctor Tuesday and we will see where we go from there.

That's all for now :)
