Contact High and Copa-Banana Flowers

Hey Everyone!! Happy Hump Day, WOOO WOOO! I have been looking online for some sort of rolling case to store all of my nail art stuff in. I figure if it is big enough I can put my gel polish in it too. Thus far I have found a lot of expensive options that may or may not work. I need to be more decisive because not being able to decide what I want is making things crazy. I need to get stuff organized fairly soon so I can clear out the mess I have made in the dining room. This has been my current project. I love how when I am actually searching for something specific on craigslist I can't find it anywhere near me.

Today I have some nail art I did over the green mani from yesterday.

I started with a base of Wet N Wild Contact High and Sally Hansen Copa-banana.

I used Konad black stamping polish and plate M22. I used the two flowers on the left for this mani.

It looked really cute and then I used top coat. Why does my stamping insist on smearing when I touch a bottle of top coat? It drives me crazy.

The smearing was not very cute and drove me nuts. I do love the image though.

I am on a quest to stop the smearing. Even if I float the top coat and still get smearing. I just killed off the last of my bottle of Seche Vite so maybe a new less goopy bottle will help. I know I have since tried another top coat that was a free with purchase deal at Sallys and it smeared pretty bad too.

One day I will find the perfect, non smearing, top coat. One day.

That's all for now :)

Angel Kisssed Four Leaf Clovers

Hey Everyone!! I decided to try and organize my pictures on the computer today. What a mess. I have a million pictures and getting them all into folders and labeled is quite the task. I have pretty much all of 2012 through today left to do. Yikes.

Today I am going to show you another St. Patrick's Day manicure.

I used Color Club Angel Kiss from the 2012 Halo Hues collection.

I used Australis Here Today Gone Tomrrow and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Orange Impulse for the stamping. I actually used a green striper polish to stamp as well but don't have a picture of it.

I used the four leaf clover design on Konad plate M22.

I also used the thin lines on the design on the lower left of Mash plate Mash-43.

I started with a base of Angel Kiss. I love the Color Club holos, they apply so well and are great polishes. Look at that holo, it is so strong.

I stamped the four leaf clovers on all my nails except the accent nail. I actually used the green striper polish then restamped over it with Here Today Gone Tomorrow. You couldn't really see Here Today Gone Tomorrow as well as I wanted when it was stamped alone.

You can see on some of the stampings I didn't line them up quite right. I think it makes it look 3D like, that or like I really need glasses. Luckily only two of the nails were really bad.

I then used orange and white to stamp thin lines on the tips.

I didn't want them to look uniform which is probably good because I did have some alignment issues with stamping the lines.

I used striping tape for the accent nails. I applied the tape and then two quick coats of Here Today Gone Tomorrow.

I love the way the accent nail looks.

This is an indoor shot just to show you how awesome the holo effect is even inside.

That's all for now :)

Can You Hear the Music?

Hey Everyone! It has been a long day! I have to apologize for not posting yesterday. I am going to blame President Obama! I don't like politics so I am not even going to go there but my son had to watch the State of the Union Address last night. We had to watch it with him of course and explain it all to him. It was great fun. Between that and the cold it was a great night lol.

The puppy went for a very brief trial in his new home tonight. It didn't work out at all. The puppy was overly excited and bit the boy and the child was scared. We don't think he bit him hard but it was enough to scare the boy. He has never bitten us but he LOVES my son and jumps all over him and plays with him and it is rough and I think it was too rough for a little child which probably made the situation what it was. I was sad to see him go and sad to see him come back because I don't want him to go to the shelter and if we can't find him a home it might come to that. If you all could send positive vibes for him to find a home we would appreciate it. I wish he could stay with us but it doesn't seem possible. I luff him and I don't want him to go but it is not my decision.

So tonight I have a mani that I did for my son's last band concert. I did this really really rushed so it didn't come out as awesome as I wanted it to. I did the mani then had to run out to do an errand for the jazz band so I planned on doing the decals in the car before I went in. I lost one. Of course. I got one snoopy on there though. I didn't use a top coat and it was gone the next morning. I figured I would find it stuck to my forehead or something lol.

This is one coat of Essie Waltz as a base then I stamped the music design from Konad plate M22 in CND Urban Oasis.

I followed it up with two coats of Essie Waltz on top. I wanted to see what it would look like to sandwich stamping with a jelly polish. I really liked the subtle effect it gave it.

I got one of the Snoopy decals on there. I didn't quite think that through though because you can see the music notes in Snoopy. I should have either put it on a plain nail or made sure Snoopy's head was not where there was stamping because Snoopy's head should NOT have music notes in it. Ah well. Next time.

Waltz was pretty streaky for me and even with three coats you can still see some of the streaks. I don't like streaks. They make me kinda crazy. I was in a major rush though trying to get this ready between work and the concert. I am going to try it again when I have time to focus and take my time.

Ok, with that I am going to take some Nyquil and hopefully get rid of this sinus headache that is sitting right on my brow bone and behind my eye.

That's all for now :)
