Virtual Violet Butterflies

Hey Everyone!!! Is it Friday yet!? I wish it was! I love how right at the end of the day when you are trying to shut down the computers and stuff people call in. The phone has rung for hours but they know when it is time to go home!

Today I have the stamping that I did on the Essie To Buy or Not to Buy mani from yesterday. I liked it a bit more with the stamping but not much.

I used China Glaze Virtual Violet from the 2011 Tronica Collection for the stamping. This polish is really pretty and stamped really really well.

I used the bottom butterfly full nail image from Bundle Monster plate BM-307.

I also used the wavy line image from Cheeky XL-A plate that I have shown before. I stamped my index and ring finger with the Cheeky plate and my pinkie, middle and thumb with the butterflies.

Due to poor placement most of the butterflies didn't fit on my nail. This was of course my fault and not the fault of the image. I had just realized that a sewing needle was lost somewhere and I was pretty distracted. I was worried someone would step on it or that Bruce had eaten it. I STILL haven't found that stupid needle and I have looked all over. I even took a magnet and swept it across the floor multiple times. I have no clue where it disappeared to.

My right hand came out a little better with the butterflies.

I did like this mani a bit. It was nice and Spring like and rather cheery.

I really liked these two colors together.

I want to give the butterfly image another try. I have something in mind that, if I can pull it off, will look pretty nice. Perhaps I will try do that design sometime this weekend.

That's all for now :)

I love Squares.

Hey Everyone! Is it Friday yet? It was a long day just because work was slow. I did finish my book though so I guess that is a good thing. My son has no school tomorrow and Monday, I am so jealous. I keep picking at my glitter mani so I need to make this quick and remove it before I peel off the other hand.

Today I am showing you another stamping I did over the glitter gel mani. I actually did one more stamping but apparently didn't take any pictures so this should be the last you will see of this mani lol.

I used the Cheeky XL-A plate and a white striping polish for the box design.

Unfortunately my top coat smeared some of the stamping. I hate when that happens.

I do love this design though. I think it looked great over the glitter mani.

I broke my index finger nail really really badly after this mani. I am not thrilled with my new mutant nublet.

I want to do another mani with this stamping design. I love the squares.

Hmmm I might have just got an idea for my next mani.

I love how the plate has a curve at the bottom of the full nail images so that you can do a french tip. I never tried doing this before but thought I would give my thumbs a different look.

When we were cleaning the cabinet I found this box. We emptied it's contents and it was left on the table in case my son could use it. Bruce decided it would make a great bed.

He curled up in there and slept for quite awhile. I have no idea how that is even remotely comfortable but he enjoyed it.

That's all for now :)

Plumage Remixed

Hey Everyone!! I have been thinking it was Friday ALL DAY LONG! It wasn't too bad a day other than I was disappointed every time I realized it was only Thursday and I had to go back to work tomorrow. Then there is some stuff going on with df and work which is crazy and on top of that he may have caught something from work that though it is totally treatable without health insurance doctor visits are costly. Plus I am a super freak and I worry about everything so I am quite highly stressed out right now. I am trying to relax and do some crochet while watching football but it isn't helping much. At least tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!!

Today I have more pictures of the gorgeous Candeo Colors Plumage only I shook up the original mani a bit.

It is hard to tell but I mattified it. I love the pictures of glitter manis that have been mattified so I HAD to try it. It looks really cool in person BUT it is not overly noticeable. This could be because I have the Hard Candy Matte top coat and to me it doesn't seem to mattify things as well as pictures I have seen of people using other brands.

I love the matte look though. It made it kinda cool looking.

THEN I stamped!

Now I let my son pick out the design I was going to stamp from the Cheeky XL-A. He decided I needed to do a different image on each finger and since I couldn't figure out a reason NOT to I went with it.

I used Wet N Wild Ebony Hates Chris to stamp with and did not use a top coat so it stayed matte.

I was using the XL stamper and the plastic scrapers and it wasn't going well so not all of the patterns came out really well.

I do love the pinky image and the middle finger image the most. I wasn't really thrilled with the way the image on my index finger came out. It was funny how on one hand the image would come out better than the other hand. I think I eventually gave up and went back to my metal scraper because the plastic one was giving me fits.

It was a fun mani but two of my nails ended up breaking so the fun ended early. I am dying for them to grow back so I can start doing fun manis again. They are making me nuts being so short and my middle nail is peeling again. I need to find a miracle cure for these nails!

That's all for now :)

Limelight gets Cheeky

Hey Everyone!!! Today I have some stamping I did over my Essie Limelight mani. If you can believe this df told me this was his favorite mani I have ever done. Jaw drop bug eyes. I was floored because this was a pretty simple mani and usually he is all critical about neons. Such a strange boy.

I ordered the Cheeky XL plate A from Amazon not long ago. It shipped fairly fast and arrived in an overly roomy box but it was packed well. Unfortunately my plate had some defects on a couple of the images. There were visible defects where you could see that the image was not completely etched. Amazon was cool about me returning it and sending me a return label but I actually had to reorder and pay for a new plate to get that one shipped out. It bugs me greatly when companies can not exchange an item for me without me having to shell out the price of the item twice before getting my refund. They did offer me free next day shipping on my item so I could get the "replacement" item quickly however it took two days to get it. They did refund me for the first plate and I did get my second plate but I was not thrilled with the whole situation.

I used the wavy pattern for the stamping on this mani and a black striping polish.

I know what you are thinking, that is NOT black! No, it is not. I had a neon coral striping polish that I intended to do the stamping with to give it that extra neon vibe but it came out like this. I didn't like it. At all. I actually left that one thumb with the coral color and did the rest with black. Df made fun of me for that.

There is a wayward glitter that somehow attached itself to my middle finger. I don't know where it came from but it wanted to stay.

The image stamped really well and I was happy with the plate even after all the trouble I went through getting it. There is actually an image that still looks like it is slightly defective but I am not going through the hassle of another return. I haven't tried that image yet.

I was a little rusty in the stamping department so this isn't perfect and then my topcoat smeared the design a bit. I always have issues with my topcoat and smearing my stamping designs.

I love this pattern and think it looks really cool with the neon.

As a child I had a huge obsession with neon everything and find that I am all grabby hands when I see neon things even now. I loved looking at this mani.

I kinda want to go put a neon again after looking at these pictures.

That's all for now :)
