Thanksgiving Manis

Hey Everyone!! Again!! I am wrapping up my fall manis so we can move into Winter manis. Today I am combining the last two of the week.

First up is my actual Thanksgiving mani.

I started with a base of Finger Paints Bare No Secrets then Oopsie Daisies Apple Picking on top.

I used various different colors for the stamping. I used Bundle Monster plates BM-H12 and BM-H13 for the stamping.

The Indian head piece came out better on this hand because I painted the feathers properly. I didn't realize that until much later.

My Pinterest turkey cake balls failed so I ended up with these.

Still cute.

Especially when I packed some in this little container.

My other Fall mani included Snoopy which I love.

I used a base of Elevation Polish Street Side, NYC on my middle and ring finger. 

I used Girly Bits Black Eyed Susan on my index and pinky.

This is Street Side, NYC on it's own. Such a cool color.

I made a stamping decal with Bundle Monster Plate BM-H11 of the pumpkin and used China Glaze Riveting to fill the pumpkin in. I used my Snoopy Scarecrow waterslide decal from LuckyStarStyle to round out my Fall look.

Fall Mani

Hey Everyone!! I hope everyone has enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday, Hanukkah, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and whatever else has been going on these past few days that you celebrate or take part in. We had a nice Thanksgiving and a quiet time after. T has been with his father and C has been working so it has been pretty quiet. Yesterday was a perfect rainy, movie watching day.

This was one of my fall manis that I did probably for Tuesday. I don't remember which day at this point. I think it was Tuesday though because I was making cake balls and too busy to change it or take pictures of it.

For my middle and ring finger I used a base of Elevation Polish Tettegouche with Oopsie Daisies Ganache over top. I then stamped on it with Maybelline Classic Camel. 

For my ring and pinky I used a base of Classic Camel with Pahlish Bixby Canyon Bridge over top. I stamped on it with SpaRitual I Feel the Earth Move.

I used Bundle Monster plate BM-H11 for the design on Tettegouche. Classic Camel didn't cooperate very much with the stamping because it dried so fast. I was a little too slow so not all of the images are good.

I used Bundle Monster plate BM-H12 for the leaves pattern on my index and pinky. It is rather hard to distinguish. 

We have had a lot of overcast and rain this past week which didn't allow for a lot of outdoor shots. 

At least it made it cooler outside with all the rain and "cold fronts" that rolled through. It didn't do much for my pictures though.

Oopsie Daisies I'll Take Thee Away

Hey Everyone!!! Today is a good day. Mr. Neil went to the doctor and he doesn't have anything majorly wrong with him. Something upset his tummy and he is still not 100% better but the fact that he doesn't have anything major going on makes me feel more at ease. He also purred for me today which made me want to cry. He hasn't purred in days so that is very good news. 

Today I have the last of the Oopsie Daisies Sanderson Sisters Halloween Trio polishes to show you. This trio was based on the Halloween movie Hocus Pocus. The polishes are available now.

The Sanderson Sisters Trio is based on the three sisters from the movie. For Thy Sisters, I'll Take Thee Away and Witchcraft. 

I'll Take Thee Away is quite a stunner. Sometimes this one sometimes leans more purple and sometimes it leans magenta. You will see that it changes a bit in my pictures. The deep berry jelly base as it is listed comes packed with some stunning glitter in lilac, pink, purple and violet in various sizes and finishes. The purple in this polish is awesome. It also contains some very awesome pink holo dot glitter.

As with Witchcraft Cathryn adds a little baggie of extra pink holo dot glitter with this polish. The holo glitter is heavier and sinks a bit in the polish. The easiest way to get the dots to come out freely is by turning your bottle upside down for about 5 minutes before you use it. You can use the extra dots to either put more in your bottle of polish or place them on your nails where you want them to be. 

For this mani I used three coats. It was really really hard to capture the correct color of this polish. I would describe it as a purple berry color. Very pretty, very squishy and quite fun too.

The application was great on this polish but I did have a little bit of trouble with those dots. I used only what was in the bottle so that I could review the polish based on what is bottled. The first coat I didn't worry about getting any dots out. 

For the second coat I let my bottle stand upside down before using it in hopes that the dots would be easier to get out. For some reason I didn't get many dots at all on the second coat. I may not have left it upside down long enough because I know those dots were in there.

For the third coat I left the bottle upside down for quite a bit so I could get the glitter easier. It wasn't as easy as Witchcraft to get the glitter out but it wasn't terrible either. A few times I re-dipped the brush in the polish and on the second dip I got more than one dot. 

In the direct evening sunlight my pictures came out more magenta but I wanted you to see the pretty glitter.

It is quite nice and I love those holo dots.

I just realized I think this polish makes me think of Franken Berry cereal. That is probably only because I don't know Sarah Sanderson from Hocus Pocus since I have not seen the movie.  

I love how the edges of the dots show holo under the squishy jelly polish.

The dots remind me of the sun when they look like that.

Yeah, I took a ton of pictures for this one too.

I couldn't let this post go without trying a matte coat on this polish.

I love how it looks mattified. 

I almost wore it another day just to keep it matte.

Oopsie Daisies Witchcraft

Hey Everyone! Oh what a day. Little Neil still doesn't feel well. He is not acting his normal weird self so he is going to the doctor tomorrow. I keep worrying about him. I was alone in the office today running both the office stuff and the warehouse. I am tired. It is hot. I should probably go home and take a shower before the visitation, hopefully I have time. I really am ready for a nap. 

Today I have the second polish in the awesome Oopsie Daisies Sanderson Sisters Halloween trio. 

The Sanderson Sisters Halloween Trio consists of For Thy Sisters, I'll Take Thee Away and Witchcraft. The The trio is based on the Halloween movie Hocus Pocus. 

Witchcraft was inspired by the evil sister Winifred Sanderson. This polish is a black jelly base packed with green holo, green, turquoise and silver glitter in different sizes and finishes. In addition to all that awesome glitter there are large turquoise dot glitter. Oh yes, there is holo dot glitter in there! 

How awesome is this polish? I love the glitter combination in this one. As you can see in the top picture this polish also comes with a baggie of extra dot glitter. The dot glitter is heavier and will sink a bit in the polish making it harder to get out. To ensure that you will be able to get the glitter easier you can turn your bottle upside down for a few minutes, around 5 will work nicely. Once you flip the bottle back over the dot glitter is easier to reach. Since Cathryn is so awesome she also includes the dot glitter with each bottle so that you have the option of adding more or simply placing the glitter where you want on the nail. 

I used the turn my bottle over method instead of using the extra dots for this mani. I wanted to see how hard it was to get these dots out so I could let you know. I used three coats for this mani.

I actually wore this one all weekend as we went out of town for a baby shower. I had to choose between a baby shower themed mani and this awesome polish. This one won hands down.

For the first coat I didn't worry about getting any of the holo dots out because it was the first coat. I think I actually did get one dot to come out for one of the nails on the first coat. 

Application was nice for this polish and the glitter is really nice and abundant. I had some issues with the seche vite giving me shrinkage making my tips look worn. I was not thrilled with this but it wasn't the fault of Witchcraft at all and it didn't happen on all of my nails. 

I absolutely love the glitter in this polish! Those holo dots are awesome and I love how they look when there is a little bit of polish over them.

I was more eager to see how the dots came out on the second and third coats. I initially left the bottle upside down for a few minutes to start the second coat. Once I did this I was able to get dots easier. By the time I got to my second hand though it was more of a fishing game. They were not overly difficult to get out but I did have to dip my brush a few times to catch a dot.

For the third coat I just went ahead and turned the bottle over again after I finished my first hand. The dots came out easily and at times I got more than one dot. 

I took a ton of pictures of this one too. I love those dots and I really love that green glitter. Together they are spectacular. 

It has taken me all day to write this post! Every time I get rolling a phone call or order has come in.

Finally all is quiet but now it is almost time to go home. Gah.

At least it is Wednesday. I was thinking that this mani might look good with some stamping but then I chickened out. It is pretty and I have no idea what to stamp over something like this. I just enjoyed the awesome polish instead.

I love this one on my pointy nails too. It reminds me of witches.

Once again I couldn't get the sun to show how pretty it was on camera. Today we have no sun so I was lucky to get some sun shots for this one.

I also LOVE this polish with matte top coat. Super cool looking.
