Mountain High with Snowflakes and Trees

Hey Everyone!!! So we are idiots and decided to start a new diet yesterday. Yes, right before Christmas. This should be a challenge. I did not have a very good day yesterday. I believe it was probably due to no sugar but I had a horrible headache and just felt pretty bad overall. Today is much better, so far. I am already tired of eggs for breakfast though. 

Today I have my second mani with Wet N Wild Mountain High. 

I used three coats of Mountain High for the base. Have I mentioned I love this color? I ended up doing each had with a different stamping on it. I actually did the trees first but didn't love them so I did snowflakes on the other hand. I wasn't in love with this mani, only the base color.

I used China Glaze So Blue without You from the Happy HoliGlaze Collection and Bundle Monster plate BM-H02 from the Holiday collection to stamp the snowflakes.

I liked this hand much better than the tree hand. The snowflakes stamped a little lighter than I would have liked but it was still wintery and pretty.

I used my green striping polish and the same plate for the trees. It was hard to tell they were trees. I wasn't thrilled with the outcome of this one at all. Perhaps with a darker green it would have looked better.

This was actually the second green I tried and neither stamped dark enough.

At least in this picture you can kind of tell they are trees.

This is the pretty Mountain High all by itself. I love it.

Mahogany Mountain Magic

Hey Everyone!!! I am quite the crabby butt today. I really have a low tolerance for stupid people and today I have had far too many interactions with them. It really is a buzz kill when people are entitled and stupid and even more so when they are both at the same time. Have you ever seen the movie The Net with Sandra Bullock? I would totally not mind having a job where I didn't have to interact with people and could stay in my house away from the crazy. I need an island. Internet and an island. Also have you ever tried that Wen hair stuff? My mom got some and since they auto ship she ended up with too much and she gave me a bottle. My hair is oily and fine. I have a lot of hair but the hair itself is fine. This stuff literally makes my hair greasy to the touch. It is awful. I can run my fingers across my freshly washed this morning hair and then rub them together and feel the grease. Do not like. Do not like at all. My mom loves the stuff but I just can't do it anymore. I tried it three times and that was two times to many. I am glad I didn't buy the stuff when I got sucked into that stupid infomercial. I feel like I need another shower and I am crabby. Thank goodness it is Friday!

I don't often find a nail polish that I have to use two manis in a row. Well, that is not entirely accurate. I don't often find a nail polish that I have to use two manis in a row and actually do use twice in a row. Wet N Wild Mountain High is one of those polishes that made me use it for two manis consecutively. It didn't help that I wasn't quite thrilled with how the first mani came out.

Originally I had a really pretty mani pictured in my mind with the awesome Mountain High and brown stamping to give it a nice warm fuzzy feel. Well. I used China Glaze Mahogany Magic for the stamping and it didn't have that deep brown that I pictured in my head. It still came out pretty but it wasn't anywhere near what I imagined. I still loved it but I like it less in these pictures.

I used three coats of Mountain High from the Fergie Heavy Metal Centerstage Holiday Collection. I don't know what it is that drew me in but the minute I saw this polish I wanted it. 

Mountain High has a milky base filled with iridescent glitter and gold flake like shards.  

This polish screams snowy wintery goodness to me and I love it. I didn't want to cover it up with stamping but I did it anyway. Then I regretted it when it didn't look like it did in my head.

I used Pueen 44 from the Love Elements collection to stamp. I also tried using my new squishy square stamper from MyOnlineShop. I love the stamper but I wasn't used to it yet so you can see where I made some errors. I kind of want to buy all the stampers now as well as all the stamp plates.

In the sun light you can see some of those glitters sparkle.

Is it bad that I am already thinking of a third mani to use this polish for?

Nabi Tawny

Hey Everyone!! I can't believe it is December already. I am not prepared. We got some Christmas shopping done but not all of it. We need to get a tree too. I feel so behind. It doesn't help that it is warm out which doesn't help bring holiday feelings. It isn't overly hot so I shouldn't complain. I need to take out some holiday color polishes so I can get started on my holiday manis. I keep looking at the Fall colors I have out and thinking how pretty they are though. 

Today I have one of the Nabi 3-D Rainbow Effect Hologram polishes for you. These never showed up in stores in my area but my awesome friend Jess found them on clearance at her Walgreens. She picked a couple up for me as part of my birthday package. She is the best.

This is Nabi Tawny.

It was pretty overcast the day I wore this and I couldn't get a good shot of it in the sun. It looks a little darker depending on the lighting. It is a gorgeous deep burgundy color that leans brown at certain times which I like.

The holo is more of a scattered holo but it is gorgeous non the less. I really like the holos that aren't so in your face holo. I like all holos actually. I will open my home to all of them regardless of their holo strength.

This applied very nicely which made me happy. I believe this one would have only needed two coats if I had applied it more carefully.

I love Nabi polishes. They are inexpensive and the ones I have all have a good formula and application. I really like the price point too. I just wish I could find a place that has them locally.

I wore this mani for a couple of days trying to get some sunlight pictures. When the sun finally came out I had chipped nails but I wanted to show you some sun pictures anyway.

I had found this holo bar glitter polish from Sinful Colors on one of my Walgreens recon missions. I make my rounds often to make sure I don't miss things. This one is called Silver Rainbows. I have no idea what collection this is from because it was just randomly thrown in a pile with some other colors.

It is super pretty though. I almost didn't buy it but I can't resist holo very well.

I used one coat as an accent nail just because I wanted to use it.

I don't think you can ever have too much sparkle, rainbows and holo.

I love Tawny. It makes me think of a cozy sweater and hot cocoa. That could just be due to the fireplace conversation I was just having or my desire for all things winter. Either way I really do enjoy this color.

Zoya Dream

Hey Everyone!! Did anyone take advantage of the cyber Monday deals? I wasn't really able to but that is ok. I did find a whole bunch of things to add to my wishlist though. I'm currently writing this on my Kindle so we shall see how this goes. I have never tried posting from my Kindle. It is definitely different. I am not going to be able to add the Monday Blues link to this post until tomorrow.

I was able to take part in one of the awesome Zoya promos not long ago where I picked up these two blue beauties. Zoya Dream and Mosheen from the winner Zenith winter collection. 

I used three coats of Dream as the base.

It is hard to see but I used a coat of Mosheen on my ring finger.

Dream is a gorgeous blue with holo glitter. I love the way Zoya makes these polishes.

I am going to have to use Mosheen in a different way to show off how pretty sure is. She did add a bit of sparkle to Dream but it was subtle.

I would love Zoya to make more of these holo glitter polishes. An emerald green would be epic.

Thanksgiving Manis

Hey Everyone!! Again!! I am wrapping up my fall manis so we can move into Winter manis. Today I am combining the last two of the week.

First up is my actual Thanksgiving mani.

I started with a base of Finger Paints Bare No Secrets then Oopsie Daisies Apple Picking on top.

I used various different colors for the stamping. I used Bundle Monster plates BM-H12 and BM-H13 for the stamping.

The Indian head piece came out better on this hand because I painted the feathers properly. I didn't realize that until much later.

My Pinterest turkey cake balls failed so I ended up with these.

Still cute.

Especially when I packed some in this little container.

My other Fall mani included Snoopy which I love.

I used a base of Elevation Polish Street Side, NYC on my middle and ring finger. 

I used Girly Bits Black Eyed Susan on my index and pinky.

This is Street Side, NYC on it's own. Such a cool color.

I made a stamping decal with Bundle Monster Plate BM-H11 of the pumpkin and used China Glaze Riveting to fill the pumpkin in. I used my Snoopy Scarecrow waterslide decal from LuckyStarStyle to round out my Fall look.

Fall Mani

Hey Everyone!! I hope everyone has enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday, Hanukkah, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and whatever else has been going on these past few days that you celebrate or take part in. We had a nice Thanksgiving and a quiet time after. T has been with his father and C has been working so it has been pretty quiet. Yesterday was a perfect rainy, movie watching day.

This was one of my fall manis that I did probably for Tuesday. I don't remember which day at this point. I think it was Tuesday though because I was making cake balls and too busy to change it or take pictures of it.

For my middle and ring finger I used a base of Elevation Polish Tettegouche with Oopsie Daisies Ganache over top. I then stamped on it with Maybelline Classic Camel. 

For my ring and pinky I used a base of Classic Camel with Pahlish Bixby Canyon Bridge over top. I stamped on it with SpaRitual I Feel the Earth Move.

I used Bundle Monster plate BM-H11 for the design on Tettegouche. Classic Camel didn't cooperate very much with the stamping because it dried so fast. I was a little too slow so not all of the images are good.

I used Bundle Monster plate BM-H12 for the leaves pattern on my index and pinky. It is rather hard to distinguish. 

We have had a lot of overcast and rain this past week which didn't allow for a lot of outdoor shots. 

At least it made it cooler outside with all the rain and "cold fronts" that rolled through. It didn't do much for my pictures though.
