Suri and The Tin Man

Hey Everyone! I am in the middle of taking off my last Gelish mani so I have to keep this short. For some reason the Gelish sticks to me like glue so it always takes awhile to get it off. I need to re-soak and hopefully the rest will come off. I already think I melted the mouse a little because some of the acetone leaked on it when I was attempting to multi-task.

Today I have a mani I did using Zoya Suri and Nail Pattern Boldness The Tin Man.

Zoya Suri is from the 2012 Diva Collection.

Nail Pattern Boldness The Tin Man is a gorgeous silver flake polish. I don't like gold much so I was super excited to find this one. I purchased this from Llarowe.

Suri is a gorgeous rich purple. I absolutely love this shade because it is so rich looking.

I used three coats for this mani. I then did an accent nail of The Tin Man.

I used two coats of The Tin Man to achieve the amount of flakes that I wanted.

This mani was really very pretty and the purple kept catching my attention. It reminds me of the banners that used to be put up in church when I was a kid.

The Tin Man was as awesome as I was hoping it would be. I did have to use two coats of top coat to make it perfectly smooth but that is ok because it is really pretty.

That's all for now :)

Roses for a Wedding

Hey Everyone! Once again I have to make this quick because ds needs to do some work on the computer. It is ok though because I am really tired. I was up way too early today.

My mom had a wedding to go to this past weekend and I did her nails to match her outfit. I was so excited to try and do something that looked similar to what she was wearing.

This was the top she wore. My mom doesn't really do black polish and I figured it would be easier if I reversed the colors a bit.

I started with Sation 3 Free-dom as the base.

I used China Glaze Lemon Fizz and saran wrap to finish the look of the base.

Then I used the rose design on Bundle Monster plate BM-323 to add a rose to each nail. I stamped the nail in black then put a little gray here and there to make it look less harsh and more like the shirt.

Her nails grow much longer and stronger than mine. Sadly she didn't pass those genes onto me lol.

I loved the mani and it looked very cute with the top. My mom also loved the mani so I was happy.

That's all for now :)

My Chauffeur has Angel Eyes

Hey Everyone! Ok, yes the title of this post is lame lol It did work for using the title of both polishes though.

Today I have a quick post for you. I can't believe it is so late, I am running behind tonight for some reason. I have to go check my son's take home test and maybe have some homemade ice cream.

For this mani I used two of the polishes I used with Essie Butler Please for the last mani. I felt bad for them since they only had a supporting roll in the the last mani.

I started with three coats of Where's My Chauffeur?

I decided to do a coat of Orly Angel Eyes on top.

I really liked these two together.

The only issue I had is that Angel Eyes is pretty dense. This is actually a great thing if you want to use is alone but over another polish it didn't create quite the look I was going for.

These pictures in the sun are more accurate with the color of Where's My Chauffeur.

I was trying to show the sparkle of Angel Eyes but the sun wasn't real cooperative. It doesn't help that I get out of work as the sun goes down so I am trying to catch some rays between buildings as I wait in traffic.

I only take the camera out when I am at a complete standstill. Unfortunately this is quite often because the horrible drivers here make traffic awful.

Angel Eyes is quite pretty. I am tempted to go do a full mani with it tonight.

That's all for now :)

Butler Please Stamped and Sparkled

Hey Everyone!!! I slept very little last night so I am quite sleepy right now. I made homemade ice cream tonight though so that was a highlight to an otherwise dismal day. Today I have a manicure that was soooo hard to get to photo correctly. This blue did NOT want to photo be accurately.

I used the circle pattern on Cheeky plate CH48.

Group shot of the polishes I used. Left to Right Essie Butler Please, Essie Where's my Chauffeur and Orly Angel Eyes.

This is a great picture of Essie Butler Please. It is probably the most accurate color wise. It is a dusty cobalt awesome blue. I LOVE this polish oh so much. SO MUCH. My son got me this one and Chauffeur for Christmas. They are from the 2012 Winter Leading Lady Collection.

Where's My Chauffeur is a light turquoise blue color. I left it under the Christmas tree a little too long and destructo dog chewed the cap.

Orly Angel Eyes is from the 2012 Holiday Naughty or Nice collection. It is a gorgeous combination of small blue glitter and holo hexes. LOVE this polish too. I love all blue polish who are we kidding.

First I used two coats of Butler Please. I always want to call this polish Butter please lol

Butler Please applies really nicely and OMG the blue is gorgeous.

I used CH48 and stamped with Where's My Chauffeur  It came out much more washed out then I was hoping but it was still a nice contrast.

On a side note I used my XL stamper very successfully this time. I had problems with it initially and hadn't used it since but figured I would give it a try last night. I must say it worked a lot better this time and I very much like it. We will see how the next try with it goes.

I used a dotting tool and covered the smaller circles with Angel Eyes. It person it is a lot more sparkly and you can really see the blue glitter. I didn't have much sun when I was taking pictures so I missed out on showing you the sparkle.

I really love this mani and all three of these colors. I almost don't want to take it of but then again if I don't I won't have a post for tomorrow.

I guess I should probably go do a new mani then huh?

That's all for now :)

IsaDora Polar Nights

Hey Everyone!! Happy Hump Day!

Today I have another awesome IsaDora polish for you. I remember when IsaDora used to be carried in Walgreens. I don't know why they stopped carrying the brand but I also don't remember them having colors quite this awesome.

IsaDora Polar Nights

This polish was from the 2012 Holiday Northern Lights Collection.

I used two coats for this mani. Next time I will definitely use undies for these IsaDora polishes to conserve the pretty. The bottles are a little small at 6ml so we must do all we can to conserve them lol.

Polar Nights is a gorgeous deep blue jelly polish packed with small silver glitter and larger silver hex glitter.

It is a stunning polish.

I somehow ended up chipping my mani this morning as I was getting in the car. As if it wasn't bad enough to chip my mani it chipped the gelish mani under Polar Nights.

I love this polish so much.

Next time I am definitely using something under this polish. There were spots where where it came out thinner than others. I could have used another coat.

I refused to do another coat because I didn't want to use too much of the polish lol.

I have decided someone needs to carry this locally!

Now off to check ds' homework.
That's all for now :)

IsaDora Silk Road

Hey Everyone! My eyes are all itchy tonight. I have no idea what is going on but I am guessing I am going to have to suck it up and go to the dermatologist. Anyone want to go for me? I didn't think so lol. Today I have an awesome polish that I got from and RAOK.

IsaDora polish in Silk Road.

Silk Road is part of the Autumn/Winter 2012 Jewels of the Orient collection.

I used three coats for this mani. The polish was a little sheer but it applied like a dream.

Silk Road is a gorgeous blue with tons of gold bits in it. I am not sure if it is micro glitter or flakies or shimmer but it is really pretty. I believe it has purple and blue along with the gold bits in it.

This polish has a foil like look about it and appears to have some purple to it.

This looks similar to Zoya Fei Fei and OPI Her Majesty's Secret Service and reminds me of the same type of finish as Zoya Crystal.

I love this polish and wish it was readily available here.

That's all for now :)
